Welcome! I am so happy you are here. What are your homeschool planning essentials?
Rolling up our sleeves to get to work on another homeschool year.
You have been on my mind, friend, as I have been in the throes this summer of making my vision of a peaceful, happy, joyful learning household come together.
I wonder if you are overwhelmed with it all, too?
There comes a time at the end of summer when all the curriculum has arrived, the read aloud books are on the shelf, notebooks and pencils are stocked; now its showtime.
I need to look at my week and figure out how in the how I am going to create memories with the kids, get the dishes and clothes washed and get us moving each day in the direction we need (or want) to be going.
It just struck me this summer, that maybe, possibly, I am making it harder than it needs to be.
You see, I typically sit down on Sunday evening and immediately feel a little woozy about plugging in the tasks of the week.
Have you felt this way? Even as the year begins with special breakfasts and pictures of kids with brushed hair in actual clothes, there comes a time, usually by September 24th (approximately), when the newness has worn thin and we are all feeling a little bit over it.
Maybe curriculum planning and weekly lessons don’t need to be complicated to be effective.
Can I offer you a hopeful solution and a simple but effective way to keep your sanity when planning a happy day/week/year for you and your children?
You can start to plug into the curiosity, joy and home-centered learning that you imagined when you first started out! And it will simplify your life. It will bring some breathing room into your day.
Come closer and I can share some magic with you; let me share my secret to making homeschool planning easier and happier for your and your kids…lemme give you a kiss!
